A Christmas Carol Christmas carol flyer

The story tells of the stingy and miserable Mr Scrooge and his emotional transformation after the supernatural visitations of Jacob Marley and the Ghosts of Christmases Past, Present, and Yet to Come.

This is “the” classic moral tale of all times and a great introduction to pre-twentieth century literature. We have toured for 10 years to schools and theatres with this vibrant adaptation. The song, music and audience interaction included in the show adds to a wonderful warm atmosphere and festive spirit.

Some pupils will be chosen to take part in the show, put on costumes and act along side the professional cast.

Target audience for A Christmas Carol are years 4 to 9.
No limit on the size of the audience.
Length of performance is 1 hour estimated.
Tour dates from 18th November to 17th December 2010.

Snow White

Seeing a pantomime is as much a part of Christmas as decorating the tree and giving presents. Do you start to think of pantomime Dames, horses and cows as soon as the tinsel hits the shops? Or perhaps apples and mirrors! Well our production of Snow White gets all the audience in the festive mood with good humour, fun characters and plenty of booing and hissing.

Some pupils will be chosen to take part in the show, put on costumes and act along side the professional cast.

Target audience for Snow White are years 1 to 9.

No limit on the size of the audience.
Length of performance is 1 hour estimated.
Tour dates from 18th November to 17th December 2010.

The aim of our theatre productions are to introduce the audience to live theatre in the comfort of their own surroundings and to show the pupils how exciting drama and performance can be. We encourage them to listen to the different ways language is used and to be aware of how different emotions are conveyed. In addition to talk individually and in groups constructively on the production they have watched and in which they have taken part.

A theatre production by Katch 22 in your school is an enriching experience for all to enjoy and remember for ever.

A typical visit from Katch 22 at your school

The company of 3 actors will arrive 1 hour before the start time of the show. They will present themselves to the receptionist and sign. Photo identification or CRB’s can be produced if the school requires to see such documentation. They will then proceed to the performance area assess the space and bring the set, costume, equipment etc in.

Pupils playing parts in the show need to go to the performance area 30 mins prior to the start time of the show. They will be involved in rehearsals with the company and put into costume ready for their debut performance.

Once the performance has finished the company will collect the costumes from those who have taken part and pack away all equipment, which should take around 20mins.
The company will then say their farewells to reception.

Testimonials from our Christmas tour 2009

Dear Ash
The production went down very well and was enjoyed by children, staff and parents. One Teaching Assistant who has been with us 13 years said it was the funniest one she's seen at the school!

Hi Ash
Many thanks for coming to our school this afternoon. Everyone really enjoyed the show .... even poor Miss Buckley!
It was lovely to see how much our very young children got involved and responded.
A huge thank you to the actors – they were all stars.
I know it’s way off yet but can you let me know what you’re doing next year and we can book you.
